Hey Doug, word is that they went out of business - but I don't know for sure. While looking for some, in the interim for a good broad spectrum customized egg cure try the one, plus additives and procedures, I suggested in my Tillammok Chinook article in last fall's STS issue. Another good one is Pro Cure's latest advanced Wizzard cure, which I've been informed has a very small amount of sodium nitrate and MSG in it already - while most of the stock cures only have sodium sulfites. It's running neck and neck with Pro-Glo cure out of Auburn for the best stock OTC cure in my opinion. My $0.02 worth. The rest of the picture is using good eggs from bled out hens and using proper care with vinyl or rubber gloves in the curing steps. - Steve

I saw some at sportco in fife last week, I prefer pro cure over that, but the best stuff that used to be out was fishermans cure, it was made in oregon, they say you can find it down there, but I havent had much luck,.

Y'know, I've used Wizard and Pro-Glo, and Pro Cure, and a hundred other commercial cures. I've tried "Secret" egg cures that people have supposedly given their lives to defend, I've got a question...... What in the hell is wrong with good old fashioned BORAX?! It works. It's not fancy, but it works. Just my opinion, but I think that if you start with good high quality eggs, you've got 99% of the battle won. Most of how your eggs turn out depends on how you treat them before you ever put the first sprinkle of cure on them. I agree with RT, You have to bleed the fish you catch, and you have to take care of the eggs. Just my .02
